They could not wait 24 hours to turn the tragedy into a political cash-cow:

Remember when Cheney said deficits don’t matter? He said that when we were conducting two wars and when millions of tax-payer money were being siphoned to the paramilitary complex he helped build. Today, a conservative study released by the Aerospace Industries Association is warning that any cuts to the defense budget would increase unemployment. Conservative websites are falling in line behind it without realizing how
hypocritical socialist they sound. Via Hotair:
Automatic cuts totaling $1.2 trillion will hit the defense industry particularly hard. Defense-related jobs makes up about half of the lost jobs, according to the study. The report estimates losses for other sectors of the economy as well: 48,059 jobs in healthcare, 98,953 in construction, 473,250 in manufacturing. California, Virginia and Texas will fare worst.
Fuller predicted an uptick in unemployment without action from Congress:
The unemployment rate will climb above 9 percent, pushing the economy toward recession and reducing projected growth in 2013 by two-thirds. An already weak economy will be undercut as the paychecks of thousands of workers across the economy will be affected from teachers, nurses, construction workers to key federal employees such as border patrol and FBI agents, food inspectors and others.
The first year of cuts will result in a $215 billion drop in America’s GDP. The overall U.S. workforce also faces a $109.4 billion decrease personal earnings.
Cuts to America’s military are particularly alarming. The across-the-board cut of more than $500 billion over the next decade comes in addition to the $487 billion in cuts already proposed by President Obama for the Department of Defense.
Ok. So let me get this straight. Conservatives are against taxes, against budget cuts. Yet, fiscally responsible? LOL.
Rep. David Dreier (R-CA) joined the ranks of the number of Republicans who believe that health insurance companies should have the right to deny people with pre-existing conditions.
And I believe my state of California has a structure in place to deal with pre-existing conditions. It’s a pooling process, which I think is one worthy of consideration, because while I don’t that think someone who is diagnosed with a massive tumor should the next day be able to have millions and millions and millions of dollars in health care provided, I do believe that there can be a structure to deal with the issue of pre-existing conditions.
According to Orange Speaker of the House, John Boehner, Mitt Romney sucks. Big time. Aside from family members and a few fellow Mormons no one likes him. Yet, this should not stop you from voting for him.
[Speaker John Boehner] made the remarks when an unidentified woman asked during a question-and-answer session: “Can you make me love Mitt Romney?”
“No,” Boehner said. “Listen, we’re just politicians. I wasn’t elected to play God. The American people probably aren’t going to fall in love with Mitt Romney. I’ll tell you this: 95 percent of the people that show up to vote in November are going to show up in that voting booth, and they are going to vote for or against Barack Obama.
“Mitt Romney has some friends, relatives and fellow Mormons … some people that are going to vote for him. But that’s not what this election is about. This election is going to be a referendum on the president’s failed economic policies.
